Hello and thank you for checking out this hackathon event! There is a lot of information on this site, but if you've got some quick questions hop on over to the EOS Network Foundation Discord with a dedicated Hackathon Channel to ask away!

We're happy to help and are looking forward to your submission!

The EVMxIdeathon is composed of 2 tracks.

1. Track #1 is an Ideathon. This track is a brain storming juice tank that anyone can participate to win $75k in prices! Bring your best ideas for EOS and win big prizes.

2. Track #2 is an EVM hackathon, with details found here. Are you an Ethereum developer? Put your skills to to the test and hack-on the TrustEVM, the fastest and most scalable Ethereum Virtual Machine.

WHAT IS EOS?

The EOS Network is a 3rd generation blockchain platform powered by the EOS VM, a low-latency, highly performant, and extensible WebAssembly engine for deterministic execution of near feeless transactions; purpose-built for enabling optimal web3 user and developer experiences. EOS is the flagship blockchain and financial center of the Antelope protocol, serving as the driving force behind multi-chain collaboration and public goods funding for tools and infrastructure through the EOS Network Foundation (ENF).

IDEATHON CATEGORIES

DeFi

Decentralized financial instruments or tools that do not rely on a 'trusted third party' or intermediaries, and leverage smart contracts on a public blockchain.

GameFi

Play-to-earn blockchain based games that provide mechanics to yield economic incentive for players to play or interact with the game.

GOV3

Decentralized governance services or tools that empower individuals/communities to meaningfully interact and collaborate when establishing consensus on rules and mechanisms by which people distribute power and control.

WEB3

Decentralized applications, services, or tools that explicitly disintermediate an interaction and value-exchange to therefore increase the maximum potential value remitted to or saved by an end user/customer.

Social Good

Decentralized applications, services, or tools that leverage a public blockchain while improving the quality of life for the most people in the biggest way.
